Having studied and gained work experience in Germany, I have since 1991, been living and working as a Vet in Spain.
I have also completed various new training courses whilst living here as well as an ongoing study in Homeopathy between 2001 and 2007. Holistic treatment of your pets is very important to me, whereby I am able to combine both alternative as well as Medical School methods for a better all round healing of your pet.
In 2001, I founded the Veterinary Clinic Europa and since then I have a large number of regular clients. My own special interests, apart from homeopathy, is in Internal Medicine and General Practice, and infectious diseases that would pass over to humans(zoonosis). Naturally, I spend my free time with my own pets and awhile ago; I adopted Blackie, a black whirlwind, found in the fields, and I am happy with her.
In the Europa Veterinary Clinic I am responsible for the care and treatment of the dogs and cats that spend time with us in our Veterinary Hospital for one or more days. I take their care very much to heart and we all try hard to create an atmosphere of friendliness and familiarity for our patients.
Apart from this I also assist the Vets in their daily handling of your pets, this is very enjoyable work as every patient is very close to my heart and I personally enjoy being with them.
There is no better feeling than being able to assist in healing a pet that is in severely or critically ill health, and then being able to return them to their owners in full health. Sometimes, I also take an abandoned animal home to care for them because working with animals is not a 9 – 5 job and normal office rules do not apply here. I also have two small mixed breed dogs that I once found as abandoned puppies and consequently bottle fed then and brought them up myself.
I started at the Veterinary Clinic Europe in March 2017, a few months after finishing my studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Córdoba. Previously I practiced summer at a clinic in my city, Granada, and at a wildlife recovery center (Amus).
I have always liked exotic animals and free life, and maybe in the future, that is one of my specializations.
I also love cats and dogs, especially the large and Nordic breeds. At home I have a Siberian Husky puppy with Golden Retriever that the whole family adore, and several more species of animals. You can find me at the Clínica Europa to help you with the different diseases and problems of your pets, as well as to advise you with the vaccination and deworming protocols.
